Writing Across Time is a communal performance by members and friends of The Fireplace, an intentional community of artists, activists, and spiritual seekers in Hyde Park. The repeated ritual actions are based on the canonical hours and Clare of Assisi’s Rule: ringing a bell, lighting candles, writing and redacting texts, folding linens, gazing at holy images, and stripping petals from a lily flower.
