Transformations is a series of large-scale charcoal drawings and paper cut-outs based on stories from Ovid’s Metamorphoses. Inspired by Ted Hughes’ poetic translations, these mixed-media works recast mythic events and emotional experiences of betrayal, violence, and the fragmentary nature of memory.
